On April 15, 2008, the Carnegie Moscow Center hosted a roundtable on “Major Priorities for Russian-U.S. Nonproliferation Cooperation in 2008-2009.” Robert Einhorn and Jon Wolfsthal of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (Washington, DC) were the main speakers at the event, which focused on Russian-U.S. nonproliferation cooperation priorities for the two incoming presidential administrations; prospects for a bilateral agreement for peaceful nuclear cooperation ( "123 agreement"); and potential Russian-U.S. cooperation on North Korea. The roundtable was chaired by Rose Gottemoeller.
